Household and property tanks are classified into four different categories based on their condition.
Class A:
Metal tanks with a remaining plate thickness of at least 3mm, measured from the deepest corrosion point inside the tank. Also, non-metallic tanks that are found to be completely intact.
Class B:
Metal tanks with a remaining plate thickness of at least 1.5mm but less than 3mm, measured from the deepest corrosion point inside the tank.
Class C:
Metal tanks with a remaining plate thickness of less than 1.5mm, measured from the deepest corrosion point inside the tank, or tanks with deformations when tapped on the inside with a hammer.
Class D:
Metal tanks with a remaining plate thickness of less than 0.5mm, or tanks that burst during inspection or have a hole. Non-metallic tanks showing significant deformations, depressions, and/or cracks.
